Kenmore dishwasher repair
Kenmore Dishwasher Repair in Maryland
We repair Kenmore dishwashers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Built-in Kenmore and Kenmore Elite dishwashers, sourced from several makers over the years. Most visits involve a dirty filter, a weak drain pump, a slow fill, a failed latch or a wash motor.
Booking online works too. With the Kenmore dishwasher's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Kenmore Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Kenmore service center, and not authorized by Kenmore. If your dishwasher is still inside the Kenmore warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
What's inside a Kenmore dishwasher
Kenmore has bought its dishwashers from different factories at different times, so the first job is reading the data tag on the inner door edge or tub rim to see whose pump, valve and control we are dealing with. After that, the complaints are the familiar ones. Grit on glasses means the filter is loaded with food. Standing water points to the drain pump, its check valve or the hose. A tub that fills slowly usually has a clogged screen at the inlet valve. A panel that lights but won't start a cycle often has a worn latch switch. Minerals in the water gradually crust over that inlet screen and the tiny holes in the spray arms, and older models whose filter needs hand cleaning can hide a surprising amount of debris in the sump.
Parts that tend to fail on Kenmore dishwashers
- Hand-clean filter packed with debris
- Drain pump or check valve sticking
- Inlet valve screen crusted with minerals
- Latch switch not reporting the door closed
- Spray arm holes blocked

Kenmore Dishwasher Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Usually it is a supply and maintenance issue rather than a failed part. Mineral film builds up when rinse aid is empty, the filter is dirty or the water isn't getting hot enough. Run the kitchen tap hot before starting a load and clean the filter. If the film persists, we check the heater, fill level and spray arms.
Quite possibly. A new disposal whose knockout plug was never removed, a drain hose that was never looped up high under the counter, or a kinked hose behind the cabinet can all leave water in the tub. We check the install first, then the pump and check valve.
