KitchenAid Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a KitchenAid service center, and not authorized by KitchenAid. If your dishwasher is still inside the KitchenAid warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How KitchenAid builds its dishwashers

Under the third rack and the stainless door, a KitchenAid dishwasher is a Whirlpool-family machine, which makes parts easy to find. Newer models filter the water through a removable screen in the tub floor, and owners who don't know it's there eventually get cloudy glasses and a musty smell. Many models also use a fan to push moist air out at the end of the cycle, so wet dishes can mean that fan stopped, not just a missing rinse aid. The rest of the list is the usual: drain pumps jammed by glass, inlet valves slowed by scale, door latches that don't close the circuit and float switches stuck from debris. Older models with a hard-food chopper can jam on bones or pits.

Parts that tend to fail on KitchenAid dishwashers

  • Filter clogged and odor building
  • Drain pump seized
  • Inlet valve slow to fill
  • Door latch switch failed
  • Drying fan not running

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the dishwasher repair page for all brands.

FAQ

KitchenAid Dishwasher Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Food trapped in the filter is the usual cause. Remove the filter from the tub floor, rinse it and wipe the seal. A drain hose without a high loop can also let sink water back in. If it drains slowly after that, we test the pump.

On models with fan-assisted drying, yes. The fan pushes steam out near the end of the cycle, and if it stops, the dishes stay wet. We check the fan and its vent. Plastic items stay damp on most dishwashers regardless.
