Viking Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Viking service center, and not authorized by Viking. If your dishwasher is still inside the Viking warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Viking builds its dishwashers

A Viking dishwasher is usually hidden behind a custom panel, and that panel causes one of its signature complaints: the door springs are set for a certain weight, and a heavy wood front makes the door crash open or refuse to stay halfway. The other calls are the ones any dishwasher gets. Food trapped in the filter leaves a gritty film on glasses. A piece of glass or a fruit pit locks up the drain pump. Mineral scale slowly narrows the fill valve screen until the machine runs short on water. Leaks at the door gasket or under the tub deserve quick attention, since in a condo the water finds its way to the unit below and in a house to a finished basement ceiling.

Parts that tend to fail on Viking dishwashers

  • Door springs overloaded by a wood panel
  • Filter packed with food
  • Drain pump seized by glass
  • Fill valve screen scaled up
  • Tub gasket seeping at the bottom corner

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the dishwasher repair page for all brands.

FAQ

Viking Dishwasher Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Yes. The springs need to match the panel's weight. We either adjust the tension or fit stronger springs, so the door lowers smoothly and holds halfway. It's worth fixing, since a door that drops hard wears the hinges quickly.

Start with the easy steps: clean the filter, refill the rinse aid and check that the spray arms spin freely. Mineral scale from the water supply builds up over time. If spray holes are blocked or the fill is low, we clear or repair those.
