Admiral dishwasher repair
Admiral Dishwasher Repair in Maryland
We repair Admiral dishwashers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Entry-level Admiral built-ins that share their tub and pump with Whirlpool models. Manual filters, drain pumps, latch switches, inlet valves and heating elements are the common calls.
Booking online works too. With the Admiral dishwasher's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Admiral Dishwasher Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Admiral service center, and not authorized by Admiral. If your dishwasher is still inside the Admiral warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Dishwasher Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
What's inside an Admiral dishwasher
Admiral dishwashers use a Whirlpool-family tub, pump and door. Current models have no hard-food grinder; instead, a removable filter at the bottom traps food, and when it isn't rinsed regularly, dishes come out gritty and water stands in the tub. Once the filter is clean, we check the drain hose, the air gap or disposal connection, and the pump itself, which may hum without moving water when something is lodged in it. A door latch switch that fails stops the cycle before it begins. Dry dishes depend on the heating element and the small fuse protecting it, and a fill valve with a clogged screen underfills the tub so washing suffers even though the pump sounds normal. On a new install, the disposal knockout plug is a classic cause of no drain.
Parts that tend to fail on Admiral dishwashers
- Food filter clogged, standing water
- Drain pump humming with a lodged object
- Door latch switch not closing
- Heating element or fuse failed, dishes wet
- Fill valve screen clogged, tub underfilled

Admiral Dishwasher Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Check whether the dishwasher drains through the garbage disposal. New disposals come with a knockout plug in the dishwasher inlet that has to be removed during installation, and forgetting it is a common cause. A kinked drain hose behind the unit is the other easy check.
Pull out the filter assembly in the tub floor first; on these models nothing grinds the food, so it has to be rinsed by hand. Also check that the spray arms spin freely and their holes aren't clogged. If the filter and arms are clean, low fill from the inlet valve is the next thing to check.
