True Residential freezer repair
True Residential Freezer Repair in Maryland
We repair True Residential freezers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Column and undercounter freezers in homes, plus reach-in and undercounter units in commercial kitchens. Defrost trouble is the big one, with the coil turning into a block of ice, followed by tired fan motors and door seals.
Booking online works too. With the True Residential freezer's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
True Residential Freezer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a True Residential service center, and not authorized by True Residential. If your freezer is still inside the True Residential warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Freezer Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How True Residential builds its freezers
True freezers include undercounter and column models at home, and reach-in and undercounter freezers in commercial kitchens. They defrost automatically, with an electric heater that melts frost off the evaporator coil and a drain line that carries the water away. When the defrost heater fails, ice builds on the coil until the fan is blocked and the cabinet warms. A drain line that freezes lets water back up and turn into ice on the cabinet floor. On commercial units, the drain line often has its own heater, which can fail. Door gaskets that no longer seal let in humid air, and frost builds fast in a humid summer kitchen.
Parts that tend to fail on True Residential freezers
- Evaporator iced solid after a defrost failure
- Defrost heater burned out
- Evaporator fan blocked by ice
- Door gasket leaking cold air
- Drain line frozen, ice on cabinet floor
Our freezer repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

True Residential Freezer Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
The defrost drain line has probably frozen, so the melted frost backs up and refreezes. On commercial units the drain heater may have failed. We clear the drain and test the heater.
Usually the defrost heater, or the sensor or control that tells it when to run. After the coil is thawed, each of those gets tested, and only the failed one is replaced.
