Electrolux freezer repair
Electrolux Freezer Repair in Maryland
We repair Electrolux freezers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Upright freezers and ICON all-freezer columns. Frost from failed defrost parts or leaking door seals, evaporator fan motors, ice makers and temperature control faults.
Booking online works too. With the Electrolux freezer's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Electrolux Freezer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Electrolux service center, and not authorized by Electrolux. If your freezer is still inside the Electrolux warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Freezer Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Electrolux builds its freezers
Electrolux freezers are frost-free uprights and ICON all-freezer columns. Every few hours a heater on the evaporator coil melts off accumulated frost, timed by the control and stopped by a sensor, while a fan circulates the cold air. If any link in that chain fails, frost packs the coil, air stops moving, and the temperature creeps up even though you can hear the compressor. Door seals matter a lot here. A door left slightly ajar or a torn gasket lets in moisture that turns straight into frost, and in humid weather that happens fast. Uprights often end up in basements and garages. A garage that gets very hot in summer or cold in winter may be outside the room temperature range in the manual, and it's worth checking that before assuming the freezer has failed.
Parts that tend to fail on Electrolux freezers
- Defrost heater open
- Evaporator fan motor seized
- Gasket torn at the lower corner
- Ice maker not ejecting
- Temperature control reading wrong

Electrolux Freezer Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
No. Meltwater from each defrost should run through a drain into a pan and evaporate. A blocked or frozen drain lets it overflow inside and leak out the bottom. We clear the drain and check the heater that keeps it from freezing.
Close the door on a sheet of paper at several points around the frame. If it slides out easily anywhere, the gasket isn't sealing there. Frost concentrated near the door is another sign. Gaskets can be replaced, and we check hinge alignment at the same time.
