Fisher & Paykel freezer repair
Fisher & Paykel Freezer Repair in Maryland
We repair Fisher & Paykel freezers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Stand-alone integrated freezer columns and ActiveSmart freezer drawers. Defrost heaters and sensors, fans, ice makers, drawer runners and seals are typical work.
Booking online works too. With the Fisher & Paykel freezer's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Fisher & Paykel Freezer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Fisher & Paykel service center, and not authorized by Fisher & Paykel. If your freezer is still inside the Fisher & Paykel warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Freezer Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Fisher & Paykel builds its freezers
Fisher & Paykel freezers are either the drawer at the bottom of an ActiveSmart refrigerator or a separate integrated column. Both defrost automatically, with a heater clamped to the evaporator, a probe that tells the board the ice is gone, and a fan blowing across the fins. When the heater or sensor fails, frost slowly packs the coil until the fan blades start scraping ice and the freezer warms. The ice maker is the other common complaint, whether from a frozen fill tube, a valve that won't open or a module that stops cycling. Drawer freezers also depend on their runners and the rail the gasket seals against. A drawer that closes crooked lets humid kitchen air in, and frost follows.
Parts that tend to fail on Fisher & Paykel freezers
- Defrost sensor or heater dead
- Fan blades striking ice
- Ice maker fill tube frozen solid
- Drawer runners worn and drawer closing crooked
- Inlet valve not opening
Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our freezer repair overview.

Fisher & Paykel Freezer Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Most likely the evaporator fan catching on ice behind the rear panel. That points to a defrost problem rather than a bad fan. Once the ice is cleared, we test the defrost heater, the sensor and the control to find out why it built up.
Check the water first: a closed shutoff, a clogged filter or a kinked line will stop it. Inside the freezer, a fill tube frozen by a dripping valve is common. We trace the water from the supply to the tray and test the valve and module.
