Viking freezer repair
Viking Freezer Repair in Maryland
We repair Viking freezers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Freezer drawers and sections of built-in refrigerators and stand-alone freezer columns. Defrost heaters and thermostats, evaporator fans, slides and ice makers are common repairs.
Booking online works too. With the Viking freezer's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Viking Freezer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Viking service center, and not authorized by Viking. If your freezer is still inside the Viking warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Freezer Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Viking builds its freezers
Frost is the clue on most Viking freezer calls. Snow on the back panel, cubes melted into a block or ice cream gone soft all point to a defrost system that isn't clearing the coil: the heater, the defrost thermostat or the timer or board running it. A stopped evaporator fan gives similar symptoms while the compressor hums along normally. On bottom-freezer models the drawer carries heavy baskets on slides, and worn slides let it close out of square. The gasket then leaves a gap at one corner, and humid kitchen air builds frost right there. The ice maker lives here too, and a fill line that drips can freeze into a sheet across the compartment floor.
Parts that tend to fail on Viking freezers
- Defrost bimetal open
- Evaporator fan not turning
- Drawer slides worn out of square
- Corner gasket gap building frost
- Dripping fill line glazing the floor

Viking Freezer Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Usually water from the ice maker. A fill valve that drips or a fill tube that has shifted lets water run into the compartment, where it freezes. A blocked defrost drain can do the same. We trace where the water comes from before replacing anything.
Yes. Slides and rollers wear under heavy baskets. Replacing them lets the drawer close square and seal properly, which also cuts down on frost. We check the gasket at the same visit.
