KitchenAid freezer repair
KitchenAid Freezer Repair in Maryland
We repair KitchenAid freezers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Bottom freezer drawers in French-door units and freezer sections of built-ins. Drawer slides, defrost heaters, ice makers and evaporator fans lead the list.
Booking online works too. With the KitchenAid freezer's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
KitchenAid Freezer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a KitchenAid service center, and not authorized by KitchenAid. If your freezer is still inside the KitchenAid warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Freezer Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How KitchenAid builds its freezers
In a KitchenAid French-door refrigerator the freezer is the bottom drawer, and it carries the ice maker, two baskets and whatever didn't fit elsewhere. All that weight rides on the slides. Once a slide binds or cracks, the drawer shuts at a slight angle, the gasket leaves a gap at one corner, and humid kitchen air turns into frost around it. Built-in models take their cold from the machine compartment above the doors, so a dusty condenser up there warms the freezer and the fresh-food side together. When the defrost heater stops working, the first sign is a white sheet of ice across the back panel, followed by slowly softening food. A freezer kept in a garage should be checked against the room temperature range printed in its manual.
Parts that tend to fail on KitchenAid freezers
- Drawer slide cracked
- Rear panel iced from a defrost fault
- Ice maker auger jammed
- Evaporator fan noisy
- Drawer gasket torn at a corner

KitchenAid Freezer Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Yes. Slides and rollers are replaceable parts, and fixing them lets the drawer close square so the gasket seals. We check the gasket at the same time, because a drawer left ajar often damages it.
Everything that runs defrost: the heater on the coil, the sensor or bimetal that ends the cycle and the board that starts it. If the heater never warms, frost keeps building until air can't pass. We also make sure the drain under the coil is open.
