Maytag Dryer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Maytag service center, and not authorized by Maytag. If your dryer is still inside the Maytag warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Dryer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Maytag builds its dryers

Maytag sells gas and electric dryers, including steam models and heavier-duty Commercial Technology versions. The thermal fuse is the part we replace most, and nearly every time it blew because the vent was clogged or the foil duct behind the dryer was crushed against the wall. So we check the vent before closing up the dryer. On gas dryers, the coils on the gas valve weaken with age: the igniter glows, the flame lights briefly and then goes out, and the drum cools off. On electric models the heating coil can break. Drum rollers and the idler pulley start to thump or squeal as they wear. The moisture sensor bars pick up a film from dryer sheets and softener, and then the dryer decides the load is dry too soon. In a damp basement, the laundry itself takes longer to dry, which can hide an early vent problem.

Parts that tend to fail on Maytag dryers

  • Thermal fuse blown after a vent clog
  • Gas valve coils too weak to hold flame
  • Electric heating coil broken
  • Worn drum rollers thumping
  • Moisture bars filmed with softener

Our dryer repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

FAQ

Maytag Dryer Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

That pattern usually points to weak gas valve coils. The igniter warms up, the valve opens, then it can't stay open. We test the coils, the igniter and the flame sensor so the right part gets replaced.

Clean the two metal bars inside the drum, near the lint filter, with rubbing alcohol. Softener residue on those bars fools the moisture sensor. If it keeps happening, we test the sensor circuit and the vent, since a restricted vent also causes damp loads.
