LG dryer repair
LG Dryer Repair in Maryland
We repair LG dryers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Gas and electric models, the WashTower's upper half and LG's heat pump dryers. Vent restriction warnings, blown thermal fuses, heaters, thermistors, gas valve coils and rollers come up most.
Booking online works too. With the LG dryer's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
LG Dryer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a LG service center, and not authorized by LG. If your dryer is still inside the LG warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How a Dryer Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How LG builds its dryers
LG Flow Sense dryers watch their own exhaust and escalate a warning, d80, then d90, then d95, as the vent gets more blocked. Take it seriously. A choked vent overheats the heater box, and eventually a thermal fuse opens and the dryer stops heating or stops running. Electric models heat with an element in a housing at the rear, protected by a high-limit thermostat and that fuse. Gas models light with a glow-bar igniter watched by a flame sensor, and the gas valve opens through a pair of solenoid coils. tE1 and tE2 flag the thermistors. Thumping and squealing come from drum rollers and the idler pulley. In a townhouse or condo, the vent often snakes through a ceiling or wall to reach outside. Slow drying there frequently comes down to a flattened duct squeezed between the dryer and the wall.
Parts that tend to fail on LG dryers
- Vent restriction warning (d80 to d95)
- Thermal fuse open from overheating
- Gas valve coils weak
- Thermistor fault (tE1 or tE2)
- Drum rollers thumping

LG Dryer Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
It will run, but it's telling you the exhaust is getting blocked. Clean the lint screen and the slot it sits in, pull the dryer out and check the duct for kinks, and make sure the outside flap opens. If the warning returns, the vent run needs cleaning. Ignoring it tends to end with a blown thermal fuse.
That's a classic sign of weak gas valve coils: the burner lights once, then the valve won't reopen after the coils warm up. Before ordering coils, the flame sensor and the airflow get checked too.
