Frigidaire Dryer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Frigidaire service center, and not authorized by Frigidaire. If your dryer is still inside the Frigidaire warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Dryer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Frigidaire builds its dryers

Frigidaire dryers are simple machines, and that keeps the diagnosis short. An electric model heats with an element and is protected by a thermal fuse that opens when the exhaust gets blocked. Gas models add a glow-bar igniter, a sensor that confirms it is hot, and two solenoid coils that open the gas valve; an igniter that glows, goes dark and never lights the burner usually means the coils are weak. Thumping and squealing come from worn drum rollers, the belt and the idler pulley. On a laundry center, the vent leaves the dryer at the top of a tall frame and bends sharply into the wall, and it crushes easily. Slow drying in a townhouse or split-level often comes down to a long vent run clogged with years of lint.

Parts that tend to fail on Frigidaire dryers

  • Thermal fuse blown by a clogged vent
  • Gas valve coils weak
  • Heating element broken
  • Drum rollers worn
  • Drive belt snapped

Our dryer repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

FAQ

Frigidaire Dryer Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Watch through the small window near the burner if your model has one. An igniter that glows and then goes out without lighting points to the valve coils. One that never glows points to the igniter or flame sensor. We test both with the gas shut off.

Pushing a stacked unit back against the wall tends to flatten the duct behind it, and a flattened duct fills with lint quickly. We check the vent path first, then the dryer's heat and airflow.
