Thor Kitchen Oven Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Thor Kitchen service center, and not authorized by Thor Kitchen. If your oven is still inside the Thor Kitchen warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How an Oven Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Thor Kitchen builds its ovens

A Thor oven may be gas or electric, standalone in the wall or under a range top, and it often has a convection fan. On gas ovens, a hot-surface igniter that has weakened glows but can't open the valve, so the oven never lights or lights slowly. On electric ovens, a bake element can burn out. The convection fan motor can develop a grinding noise as its bearings wear. A temperature sensor that has drifted makes baking unreliable. Thor's oven doors are heavy, and their hinges can loosen and let the door hang open slightly, which loses heat.

Parts that tend to fail on Thor Kitchen ovens

  • Convection fan grinding
  • Bake element burned out
  • Gas oven igniter weak
  • Temperature sensor drifting
  • Heavy door hinges loose

Our oven repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

Thor Kitchen Oven Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

The fan motor bearings are probably wearing out. The fan still turns, but it will eventually stop. We replace the motor before it fails and check the fan blade for damage.

Most likely. As igniters age, their resistance rises and they reach valve-opening current later and later, until one day they don't. A current reading tells us for sure.
