Kenmore Oven Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Kenmore service center, and not authorized by Kenmore. If your oven is still inside the Kenmore warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How an Oven Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside a Kenmore oven

Most Kenmore ovens are the lower half of a freestanding or slide-in range, with a smaller number of wall ovens, and a large share of them came from Frigidaire under codes such as 790, though not all. On gas, the usual no-heat fault is a hot-surface igniter that has aged to the point where it glows without passing enough current to open the safety valve. On electric, bake elements split or bubble, and a broil element that stays dark is common. Electronic controls read an oven sensor that can drift, which shows up as burned edges or raw centers. Self-cleaning models can end a cycle with the door lock stuck, and the high heat of self-clean is hard on the control too. The supplier code tells us which parts to price.

Parts that tend to fail on Kenmore ovens

  • Gas oven igniter glowing weak
  • Bake element split open
  • Oven sensor reading off
  • Door lock jammed after self-clean
  • Broil element staying dark

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the oven repair page for all brands.

FAQ

Kenmore Oven Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Most likely the igniter is wearing out. It still glows, but the current it draws has dropped, so the valve opens late or cycles poorly. We measure the current against the spec before replacing it.

It is your call, but know the risk: the extreme heat is the most common time for a door lock, thermal fuse or control to fail on an older oven. If you do run it, stay home, and if the door won't release after the oven has fully cooled, we can test the lock and control.
