AGA oven repair
AGA Oven Repair in Maryland
We repair AGA ovens at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Roasting, baking and simmering ovens on cast-iron cookers, plus the fan ovens and conventional ovens on AGA range cookers. Weak heat sources, elements, thermostats, fans and door catches.
Booking online works too. With the AGA oven's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
AGA Oven Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a AGA service center, and not authorized by AGA. If your oven is still inside the AGA warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How AGA builds its ovens
On a classic AGA, oven temperature is a matter of position. The roasting oven is nearest the heat, the simmering oven farthest, and none has its own dial. So when every oven is sluggish at once, the problem is upstream: the burner or elements heating the iron, or the thermostat regulating them. Controllable electric models are wired differently, with a separate element and switching for each oven, and one cold oven there points to a single element or relay. The doors are heavy, and their hinge pins and catches loosen over time so the door no longer pulls tight. AGA range cookers are a separate case, with fan ovens, conventional ovens and a grill run by thermostats or electronic controls.
Parts that tend to fail on AGA ovens
- Every oven running cool
- Single oven element open
- Thermostat out of calibration
- Door catch or hinge pin worn
- Range cooker fan motor noisy
Our oven repair guide covers the problems every manufacturer shares.

AGA Oven Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
That the fault is local to that oven: its element, or the relay or switch that powers it. We test that one circuit first and leave the rest of the cooker alone unless the test points elsewhere.
Not individually. All the ovens rise and fall with the cooker's overall setting. If they've all crept off, we measure the ovens with a thermometer, meter the thermostat and burner or elements, and adjust or repair what's out.
