Avanti Oven Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Avanti service center, and not authorized by Avanti. If your oven is still inside the Avanti warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How an Oven Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

What's inside an Avanti oven

The oven in an Avanti range is small, and its design is plain. On gas models, a hot-surface igniter both heats and lets current through to open the oven safety valve; as it ages it keeps glowing but stops letting enough current through, and the burner never lights. Several models regulate temperature with a mechanical thermostat and a capillary bulb clipped inside the cavity, so an oven that runs hot or cold may just have a bulb knocked loose during cleaning. On the electric models, the bake and broil elements are out in the open, and they tend to bubble and crack with age. In rentals, doors and hinges take a beating, and a gap at the gasket shows up as food that browns on one side only.

Parts that tend to fail on Avanti ovens

  • Glowing igniter that never lights the burner
  • Bake element blistered and open
  • Capillary bulb knocked out of its clips
  • Door gasket gapped at a corner
  • Broil element dead on electric model

Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our oven repair overview.

FAQ

Avanti Oven Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

That usually means the valve cracked open briefly and the igniter was too weak to light the burner. Turn the oven off and air out the kitchen. On most of these ranges a tired igniter is the culprit, and we confirm it by measuring its current draw. If the smell persists with everything off, leave and call Washington Gas or your gas utility first.

Not necessarily. In a tiny cavity, a leaky door gasket, a pan that blocks airflow or an element with a hot spot shows up fast. We check the real temperature over a full cycle with our own thermometer, then look at the gasket and element before blaming the thermostat.
