GE Appliances oven repair
GE Appliances Oven Repair in Maryland
We repair GE Appliances ovens at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Single, double and combination wall ovens, plus Advantium speed-cook ovens. Oven sensors, elements, igniters, door locks and keypads are the usual parts.
Booking online works too. With the GE Appliances oven's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
GE Appliances Oven Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a GE Appliances service center, and not authorized by GE Appliances. If your oven is still inside the GE Appliances warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How an Oven Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How GE Appliances builds its ovens
GE oven codes are familiar to anyone who fixes appliances. F3 and F4 point to the temperature sensor circuit, and F7 tells you the control sees a key held down. Past the codes, bake and broil elements burn through and gas ovens light with a hot-surface igniter that loses strength over the years. Built-in wall ovens and double ovens have to come partway out of the cabinet to reach wiring and some parts, and a heavy double oven is a two-person lift. The Advantium speed-cook oven combines halogen lamps, a ceramic heater, a convection fan and a microwave in one unit, so it has its own parts list and a longer diagnosis. Self-clean pushes the door lock and the control hard, and a failure right after one is common.
Parts that tend to fail on GE Appliances ovens
- Oven sensor open or shorted (F3/F4)
- Stuck key on the control (F7)
- Hidden bake element burned out
- Gas oven igniter too weak to light
- Door lock motor stuck after cleaning
Checks you can safely make before booking are on the oven repair page for all brands.

GE Appliances Oven Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
F3 means the control has lost a reliable reading from the oven temperature sensor, so most GE ovens will stop heating. The sensor itself, its connector or the wiring back to the control can be the cause. A sensor replacement is a common, contained repair.
It depends on the fault and the model's age. A halogen lamp, a fan or a door switch is usually worth doing. A failed control or several failures together on an older unit may not be, and we will give you a straight comparison.
