Fisher & Paykel Washer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Fisher & Paykel service center, and not authorized by Fisher & Paykel. If your washer is still inside the Fisher & Paykel warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Fisher & Paykel builds its washers

SmartDrive is what sets many Fisher & Paykel washers apart. The rotor bolts directly to the drive shaft, the stator sits behind it, and the control counts the rotor's position to decide how fast to turn and how hard to spin. That makes a no-spin or mid-cycle stop a different puzzle than on a belt machine: the Hall sensor that tracks the rotor, a burned stator coil or the motor board join the usual list of drain pump, lid or door lock and suspension. Top-loaders lean on their suspension, and repeated heavy loads, like towels or a comforter, wear it faster. Front-loaders need their door boot and pump filter kept clean, especially through a humid summer. We read the stored fault history before choosing a part.

Parts that tend to fail on Fisher & Paykel washers

  • Rotor position sensor failing
  • Stator winding shorted
  • Drain pump or filter clogged
  • Door or lid lock not latching
  • Suspension worn, drum knocking

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the washer repair page for all brands.

FAQ

Fisher & Paykel Washer Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

The control stops the cycle when it detects a problem with the motor, drainage or balance. A slow drain or a lopsided load causes many of these stops. If those are ruled out, we check the fault history and then test the rotor sensor and stator.

Not much. With no belt or transmission there's less to wear out. Keep the pump filter clear, don't overload it, and on front-loaders leave the door open after use to dry the boot. Bearings and suspension are the parts that age with heavy use.
