Electrolux Washer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a Electrolux service center, and not authorized by Electrolux. If your washer is still inside the Electrolux warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How Electrolux builds its washers

Electrolux front-loaders hang a stainless drum inside a suspended tub, sealed at the front by a rubber boot, with a drain pump and coin trap at the bottom and an electronic lock on the door. Many models blend the detergent into incoming water in a mixing chamber instead of dumping it straight onto the laundry. Most calls come down to three things: a drain error because the coin trap is full, a door that won't release, and a jet-engine noise on spin from tired tub bearings. Front-loaders of this style can also suffer corrosion on the three-armed drum support at the back, which eventually lets the drum wobble or knock; fixing that means taking the tub apart, and on an older machine we will talk through whether it's worth it. On an upper floor, leveling and a solid floor make a noticeable difference to noise and wear.

Parts that tend to fail on Electrolux washers

  • Coin trap and pump filter clogged
  • Door lock not releasing after the cycle
  • Tub bearings roaring on spin
  • Door boot split or mildewed
  • Drum support arm corroded

Faults that show up whatever the brand are explained in our washer repair overview.

FAQ

Electrolux Washer Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Usually the washer thinks there is still water in the drum. Check the drain pump filter at the bottom front, with towels ready, and clear anything blocking it. If the drum is empty and the door still won't release, the lock or control may have failed, and we test both.

Often it can be reduced a lot. We level the feet to the actual floor, check that the load isn't bunching, and inspect the shocks and springs. Worn suspension parts are replaceable. A bouncy floor frame can't be fixed at the washer, but a well-leveled machine with good suspension helps.
