LG Washer Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos

We are independent: not a LG service center, and not authorized by LG. If your washer is still inside the LG warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.

Condos & high-rises
Many buildings want a loading-dock slot, an elevator booking or a sign-in at the desk. Mention those rules at booking so the visit fits them.
Stacked laundry
Washer-dryer stacks in closets and hall nooks often have to come out of the space to be worked on. Measurements or a photo help us prepare.
Older houses
A new appliance in a house built decades ago can be let down by the outlet, gas line, drain or vent behind it. We test the supply as well as the machine.
Tenants & owners
A renter can book the visit. We report the fault and the quote to the owner or property manager, whose approval comes before any repair.
Humid summers & garages
Sticky summer air makes fridges sweat and front-loader gaskets smell, and a garage fridge can struggle in the heat. Some of that is upkeep, not a failed part.
A straight answer
If fixing an older unit makes little sense, you will hear that from us, along with which part gave out.

How a Washer Repair Visit Works

01

Book the Visit

Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.

02

Find the Fault

At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.

03

Approve the Price

You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.

04

Fix and Check

The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.

How LG builds its washers

In an LG front-loader, the motor is the back of the tub: a stator is fixed to the tub and a rotor on the drum shaft spins around it, with a hall sensor telling the board where the rotor is. When that sensor fails, the washer may show LE and refuse to spin up. The rest of the code list is practical. OE means the water didn't leave, usually because of debris at the pump filter behind the lower access door. IE means the tub didn't fill in time, often from clogged screens in the hoses or valve. dE is the door lock, UE a lopsided load. A deep roar on spin points to tub bearings, which on many models means a tub assembly. In condos with stacked units, access gets planned before the visit.

Parts that tend to fail on LG washers

  • Pump filter clogged (OE)
  • Rotor position sensor failed (LE)
  • Inlet screens clogged (IE)
  • Door lock not engaging (dE)
  • Tub bearings roaring on spin

Checks you can safely make before booking are on the washer repair page for all brands.

FAQ

LG Washer Repair Questions

The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.

Have a different question?

Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.

Rarely right away. LE means the board sensed the motor stalling. Too heavy a load, a bad hall sensor on the stator, a loose harness plug or the stator itself can all set it off. Those get tested before any motor part is quoted.

Turn both faucets feeding the washer all the way on and look for a hose bent sharply against the wall. The hose ends have small screens that collect grit and scale. If they're clean and water pressure is fine, the washer's inlet valve is next.
