Maxx Ice ice maker repair
Maxx Ice Ice Maker Repair in Maryland
We repair Maxx Ice ice makers at homes and businesses in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. Self-contained undercounter cubers and modular heads over storage bins. We see ice that won't release, falling output, leaks from a backed-up drain, stopped pumps or fill valves, and air-cooled condensers matted with kitchen grime.
Booking online works too. With the Maxx Ice ice maker's model number in the form, we can check part availability before we come.
First the appliance and its location, then your contact details. We follow up to schedule.
Maxx Ice Ice Maker Repair in Houses, Townhomes and Condos
We are independent: not a Maxx Ice service center, and not authorized by Maxx Ice. If your ice maker is still inside the Maxx Ice warranty, go to the manufacturer first. Once it's past that coverage, a model number in your booking lets us source parts ahead of the visit.
How an Ice Maker Repair Visit Works
Book the Visit
Call or use the form. Name the make and describe the fault; a model number, if handy, speeds up parts.
Find the Fault
At your place, the technician checks the appliance and whatever feeds it (power, water, drain, gas or venting) until the cause is clear.
Approve the Price
You get a plain explanation and a price for the repair. The work starts only if you say yes.
Fix and Check
The new part is fitted and the appliance is run through a cycle, so you can see it working.
How Maxx Ice builds its ice makers
On a Maxx Ice cuber the freeze cycle and the harvest cycle alternate all day. In freeze, a small pump sends water over the chilled plate and cubes grow in the grid. When the control decides the batch is ready, a solenoid opens the hot gas valve, warm refrigerant runs through the plate, and the sheet of ice slides off into the bin. When that sequence goes wrong you see it quickly. A crust of scale holds the ice to the plate, and the machine may lock out on a safety after a failed harvest. A dead pump leaves the plate bare. A hot gas valve that won't open means nothing ever falls. On air-cooled models, a dirty condenser drags out every cycle. And because these units drain by gravity, a line with a low spot or no slope lets water back into the bin and out onto the floor.
Parts that tend to fail on Maxx Ice ice makers
- Ice sheet stuck to the plate after harvest
- Circulation pump stopped
- Hot gas valve stuck closed
- Slow bin fill from a clogged condenser
- Drain backing water into the bin

Maxx Ice Ice Maker Repair Questions
The questions that come up most often. Anything not covered here, ask us when you call, or add it to the booking form's notes field.
Have a different question?
Tell us what make it is and what's going wrong. A few things can be settled over the phone, and anything else gets looked at during the visit.
Either scale is gluing the sheet to the plate, or the hot gas valve that warms the plate for harvest isn't opening. We descale and sanitize first, then run a harvest and check the valve and its solenoid coil.
Most of the time it's the drain. A line that sags, has lost its slope or is clogged at the floor sink lets water back up into the bin until it overflows. We clear and re-route the drain as needed, then check the water inlet fittings.
